Served as a resource person for an orientation session titled “Gender Equality” for the freshers of the Faculty of Hindu Studies on August 23, 2024. During the session, I discussed the importance of gender equality in contemporary society, explored key concepts, and facilitated discussions to encourage students to engage with the topic thoughtfully. The talk aimed to empower the students with knowledge and perspectives that foster a more inclusive and equitable environment.
Served as a resource person for the Women Studies Certificate Course conducted by the Women Education and Research Centre at the University of Jaffna, in collaboration with the Staff Development Centre and CGEE, from December 2023 to January 2024. My focus was on the topic of feminist research methodology, where I provided insights and guidance on various approaches and techniques that empower women’s voices in research.
On May 9, 2024, I contributed as a resource person to a workshop organized by the Jaffna District Cooperative Council, focused on increasing the operational efficiency of purchasing officers. The workshop brought together cooperative managers, procurement officers, storekeepers, and branch supervisors. I shared best practices in procurement processes to streamline operations and enhance consumer services. My sessions included interactive discussions on negotiation techniques and supplier relationship management, along with real-world case studies showcasing successful purchasing strategies that led to cost savings and improved service quality.
Served as a resource person for students specializing in Christianity, focusing on the module that addresses critical topics such as gender equality and social inclusion, gender-based violence, gender and cultural change, and gender sensitivity. Through this module, I aimed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of these issues within the context of Christian teachings and values, fostering a deeper awareness of gender dynamics in society in 2023 and 2024.
Served as a resource person for the certificate course titled “Inclusive Public Service Administration,” where I delivered a session on “Gender Equality through Diversity.” This course aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to foster inclusivity and promote gender equality in public service settings, conducted by Department of sociology, faculty of Arts in 2024.

Served as a resource person for the Guru Sis Nina Laura program for teachers and students, conducted by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with the University Grants Commission and vice-chancellors. The sessions took place from August to September 2022.
On December 24, 2022, served as a resource person for a capacity development program tailored for Sri Lanka Education Administrative Service officials, including ZDE, DDE, ADEs, and in-service advisers from the Kilinochchi Zone. The session focused on qualitative research methodologies, grounded theory, and an introduction to NVIVO software, enhancing their research skills.
On December 21, 2022, contributed as a resource person in a workshop discussing the role of business stakeholders in sustainable water resource management. This workshop was part of the Water Security Participatory Action Research (WASPAR) initiative, emphasizing collaborative approaches to water security.

On September 10, 2022, I facilitated a workshop for schoolteachers and students at Jaffna Central College, focusing on “Adult Learning and How to Overcome Barriers.” This session aimed to empower educators with strategies to support adult learners effectively.
On September 19, 2021, served as a resource person in an insightful discussion on marketing curriculum development, alongside esteemed colleagues Prof. Samantha and Dr. Udurawana. This event, organized by the Department of Marketing at the Faculty of Business Studies, Vavuniya University, aimed to enhance educational frameworks and better equip students for the dynamic marketing landscape.

On August 8, 2021, contributed as a resource person in a focused seminar on microcredit marketing strategies for students enrolled in the diploma program in microcredit. This session provided valuable insights into effective marketing techniques tailored specifically for the microfinance sector, empowering students with the knowledge to drive impactful change in their future careers.
Served as a visiting resource person for the “Seminar in Marketing” course at the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Vavuniya, in 2021 and 2022.
On July 13, 2021, served as a resource person in training sessions focused on sexual and gender-based violence, aimed at empowering subcommittee members of the Center for Gender Equity and Equality (CGEE). This initiative was crucial in promoting awareness and fostering a safe, equitable environment.
Facilitated two dynamic workshops on data analysis using SPSS for the Faculty of Arts’ fourth-year students on March 17 and 18, 2021. Held in the Computer Lab, these sessions were part of the AHEAD initiative under the World Bank projects, equipping students with vital analytical skills for their academic and professional pursuits.
On November 12, 2020, as a resource person in a Faculty and Industry Interaction session discussing the “Impact of COVID-19 on Small Businesses in Northern Sri Lanka.” This session provided valuable insights into the challenges faced by local businesses during the pandemic.
Resource person in the orientation training program on ‘Basic Marketing’ for graduates at the Kopay Christian College Centre on September 23, 2020. This program aimed to lay a solid foundation for graduates entering the marketing field.

On June 29, 2015, I facilitated a workshop on “Dairy Business Management” for small-scale dairy farmers, milk traders, transporters, and processors in Mullaithivu District. Organized by World Concern, an international non-governmental organization, this workshop aimed to strengthen the local dairy industry through effective management practices.
Served as a resource person for the Youth Development Training Program (YLD) under the joint project of Governance for Local Economic Development (SDDP), GLED, and UNDP. This program included social mapping through a participatory rural approach at Nagathalvu Village in the Mannar District on August 29, 2015, helping community members engage in local development efforts.
Conducted training workshops on project implementation and monitoring on July 30, 2015, for community members involved in social mapping work. Organized by UNDP and the District Secretariat in Mannar, this initiative aimed to foster collaboration between community members, government officials, and trainees in enhancing local development through effective project management.
